We invite you to get to know us and our animals through our Web site and, eventually,
by visiting with us. Avalon Farm is located in the heart of Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, "God's country", where the
trout streams are plentiful, deer are abundant, and Mother Nature rules all year
round. Consider combining a relaxing vacation in this natural wonderland with a visit to
Avalon Farm.
Experienced breeders know that one of the most important decisions that a buyer can make is the choice of the breeder from whom they will purchase their breeding stock. Every buyer wants to purchase from a breeder who will stand behind their animals in the event of problems, offering buyers a "hassle free" replacement alpaca, credit toward the purchase of another alpaca, or refund. This choice is especially significant for the first time alpaca buyer for whom excellent customer support can mean the difference between success and failure.
At Avalon Farm, alpacas are our only business. We take pride in the quality of our animals and we care about the success of our customers. Customer support and service are our priority. When you make the decision to purchase breeding stock alpacas from us you get "The Avalon Advantage" ™
All of our alpacas are huacayas and are registered with the Alpaca Registry, Inc. Our
membership in the ARI guarantees that our alpacas have met registry requirements and have
had their parentage verified through DNA testing. The pedigrees documented by
registration in the ARI provide the basis for the establishment and continuation of a
world class North American alpaca industry by assuring that breeders have reliable
information available to help them make informed breeding decisions. For this reason,
Avalon Farm Alpacas sells ONLY ARI registered alpacas.
We are proud to be members and supporters of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA), the Alpaca Show Association, the Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America (AFCNA), and our regional affiliate, the Great Lakes Alpaca Association (GLAA). These organizations are at the heart of the North American alpaca industry. We hope you will become familiar with them as you learn more about alpacas and the people who love them.
